AZDPS Armed Guard License Course

Service Description

At Citadel Defense Group, we offer the required 16-hour armed guard card certification course designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge required for an Arizona DPS Armed Security Guard license. Our program includes extensive armed security guard training, covering topics such as firearms safety, legal responsibilities, and tactical defense. We also offer an 8-hour refresher course for those needing to meet their annual training requirements. The armed guard card class runs 8 hours a day for two days and will allow students to apply for their Arizona Armed Guard Card. Successful students must be able to successfully pass a written test with a minimum score of 70 percent at the conclusion of the course. Students must also display safe firearms handling and a shooting proficiency during the range qualification day by achieving a score of at least 70 percent. Students are required to provide their own ammunition, ear protection, eye protection, and pistol. All equipment and firearms will be inspected and evaluated prior to the start of the range day by the instructors *Note- Students who have successfully completed this course will be eligible to apply for an Arizona Concealed Weapons Permit (CCW). Citadel Defense Group will provide the paperwork and required documents at no charge upon request. The AZDPS permit application fee is currently $60. AZDPS required fingerprint cards available on site at the end of the range day for $30.
